Thanks for stopping by!
I’m Betsy - an interior designer of more years than I dare to divulge!
To me, good interior design is the coordination of all of it; colors, style, symmetry, balance, scale and proportion (to name a few).
These are the foundational principles that guide my design process.
With an eye on practicality and listening to my clients, my goal is to create a space that ultimately reflects who you are and how you want to live so that you relish ‘coming home’ and can enjoy hosting family and friends!
Balancing creativity and practicality is the challenge I love!
Designing with You, Backed by Experience
Having built and renovated custom homes for my own family, I understand the client’s perspective—as well as the designer’s. From navigating countless decisions to coordinating with architects, builders, and trades, I’ve been in your shoes.
That’s why I approach every project as both your advocate and a collaborative partner to your builder—helping you create a home that reflects your vision, without the overwhelm.
Now more than ever, we long for spaces that offer peace, comfort, and a sense of retreat—because home should be your sanctuary.
It’s mine, too.
A little backstory…
I have been in the interior design field professionally for over 30 years; have a BS in Architectural Design, and as an Allied member of ASID I am required to complete 10 CEU’s every 2 years and that allows me to stay current in this big always changing design world!
A few years ago, I was certified as a ‘true color expert’ through the Maria Killam’s color coursework. It has been a game changer for me and my clients. I always had an ‘eye’ for color, but now I have a better way to help clients understand color in their own homes; why this works, this doesn’t and where to place color. I think it's so important that Color is the start of any project I take on.
I started out in the ‘sweat equity’ program - demo and redesign of my own homes with very limited funds so I had to be creative! When I had the opportunity to design a business lobby, I told my husband “I think I am officially in business”. Eventually I set up shop specializing in custom window treatments but ended up designing rooms! I moved from Colorado to NYC; from a big house into a small apartment by Lincoln Center and now enjoying our lovely surfing community New Smyrna Beach.
The one constant is that I still LOVE creating and designing interiors for myself and for you!
“You’re so talented and I love your style. I can’t thank you enough and through it, I feel like I gained a new friend.”
